France - Chauvigny to Paris

With the treaty of St Clair in the 10th century, Nonencourt sat on the border between France and the Duchy of Normandy. In 1113 Henry 1 built the Nonencourt Fortress and its canals. Judging by the British flags around town, Nonencourt is still very proud of their Norman history.
